David Godwin is the Director of the Joint Fire Science Program funded Southern Fire Exchange with the University of Florida School of Forest Resources and Conservation. He works with interagency partners to develop programs, events and opportunities designed to increase the relevance and application of wildland fire science information in land management decisions across the Southeastern U.S.
The end users of those programs include private landowners, agency land managers, NGO land managers, scientists, researchers and students. He has a B.S. in geography from Florida State University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in forest resources and conservation from the University of Florida.
