I have eight years of professional, progressively increasing responsibility in the education, communication and mitigation of risks to the greater Prescott, Arizona community. I currently hold a position as Planner for Yavapai County Emergency Management, Prescott, AZ. I currently participate in public outreach regarding wildfire preparedness, and create drills to test equine evacuation groups plans and messaging through social media.
I have extensive experience assisting communities develop Firewise plans, developing CWPP’s, applying/administering federal and state grants (State Fire Assistance, WFHF, ARRA and Title III), wildfire suppression (hotshot and city fire department) and public speaking.
I have a formal education in the form of a B.A.S. in Emergency Management from Northern Arizona University and an A.S. in Fire Technology and Administration from Capital Community College in Hartford, CT. I have participated in numerous NWCG classes as well as classes at the National Fire Academy.
I have a strong desire to assist others in developing strategies and solutions to their wildfire problems and look forward to continuing my service to the wildfire community.
