• Facilitate information flow between state, federal, and local governments, utilities, and other non- governmental organizations on efforts towards enhancing long-term forest health in California.
• Develop regionalized strategies, informed by the best available science, that prioritize achievable solutions to restoring and enhancing forest health.
• Encourage coordination among agencies delivering funding or conducting forest health, prescribed fire, and fuel reduction activities to enhance overall outcomes of state investments.
• Identify and harmonize cross-jurisdictional regulatory and permitting requirements for forest health, prescribed fire, and fuel reduction activities.
• Utilize each agency’s expertise in land management, funding, or regulation to facilitate the implementation of forest health, prescribed fire, and fuel reduction activities.
• Provide consistent and coordinated messaging between Task Force members and the public.
•Measure progress and monitor outcomes to inform future activities of the Task Force.
