The New Jersey Fire Safety Council is dedicated to building the capacity of local municipalities to reduce the risk of wildfire through emergency preparedness, education, training and communication.

The mission of the New Jersey Fire Safety Council is to achieve Municipal resiliency through wildfire preparedness and prevention efforts. These efforts are designed to protect residents, reduce property damage and conserve our natural resources.

Building on past partnerships with the environmental community, the NJ Fire Safety Council and NJ Forest Fire Service seeks to streamline the permit process for fuel mitigation projects within the NJ Pinelands.
