Syndy is the founder/owner of Wildfire Mitigation Network (WMN), a consulting firm designed to assist home owners and property managers mitigate the risk of wildfire to homes and valuable assets.
Syndy has more than 30 years as a wildland fire professional, working for several state and federal land management agencies before retiring from the Forest Service as a Deputy Fire Staff-Operations in southern Oregon.
She has participated in large fire management and all-risk incident management from the west coast to the southeastern states, and Puerto Rico. She is currently a member of a type 1 national incident management and an alternate for an Area Command Team.
In addition to enjoying time with her family, pets, and the outdoors; working on WUI related projects for WMN; and volunteers for a large county Search and Rescue organization in addition to founding and co-coordinating an annual fundraiser for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
