The mission of Teton Conservation District is to promote conservation and management of natural resources through research, education, conservation practices, cooperative projects, and on the ground actions.
The Teton Conservation District is part of a local wildfire coordinating group (Teton Area Wildfire Protection Coalition/TAWPC). This group consists of local, state, and federal fire managers, residents, industry, and non-profits. This group promotes outreach and education on wildfire risk management, advises decision makers on wildfire grant projects, writes and revises the Community Wildfire Protection Plan, and provides wildfire risk assessment services to private landowners.
