Wildfire Partners is a wildfire mitigation program of Boulder County that includes more than 35 partner organizations. The program helps homeowners prepare for wildfire. We provide technical and financial assistance over the long-term. The program has been incorporated into the county’s building code.

Our Wildfire Mitigation Specialists conduct comprehensive home assessments with the active participation of homeowners evaluating all the vulnerabilities to wildfire (structures and vegetation). We use an app with fifty questions and produce a customized report with annotated photos for each participant. Homeowners who complete comprehensive mitigation receive a certificate and yard sign that our insurance company partners honor and guarantee insurability. Launched in 2014, we have over 1,300 homeowners in the program. We have grant funding from FEMA and the state of Colorado.
