Upcoming Wildland-Urban Interface Conference Features FAC Speakers
Authors: Molly Mowery
Are you attending the 2014 Wildland-Urban Interface conference March 17-19 in Reno, Nevada? Join members of the Fire Adapted Communities (FAC) Coalition as they co-present on FAC topics. Shawn Stokes (International Association of Fire Chiefs), Molly Mowery (Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network) and Dr. Steve Quarles (Insurance Institute of Business and Home Safety) will be sharing information and insights on topics ranging from the Cohesive Strategy, to the Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network, and the latest research on building materials. All of these presentations are designed to increase knowledge about how audiences and communities can reduce their risk to wildfire and increase their ability to adapt to a new wildfire reality.
The session will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 8:00 a.m. at the Peppermill Resort. And be sure to stop by the FAC Coalition’s booth in the exhibit hall, where you’ll find the latest FAC resources and meet members of the FAC Coalition.
