FAC Net Blog Comment Policy


FAC Net blog posts are written by diverse practitioners around the world and a published post does not necessarily mean an endorsement by FAC Net, the backbone organizations, members or funders. Stories include a wide variety of perspectives and lived experiences and include successes, lessons learned, resources, tips and even failures related to community wildfire resilience. While posts are edited for clarity and length, stories are from the author’s own perspective and voice. We strive to create a safe and open learning environment where diverse perspectives can be heard.

Comments are welcomed and encouraged on the FAC Net blog. Please note that comments are manually approved by a website administrator and therefore may take some time to appear. There are some instances when comments will not be approved. For example:

  • Comments deemed to be spam or solely promotional in nature will not be
    approved. Including a link to relevant content is permitted, but comments should
    be relevant to the post topic.
  • Comments including profanity will not be approved.
  • Comments containing language or concepts that could be deemed offensive or harmful will
    not be approved. This may include abusive, threatening, misleading, libelous or
    pornographic language.
  • Comments that directly attack an individual or organization will not be approved.
  • Comments that harass other posters will not be approved. Please be respectful
    toward other contributors.
